Rose-HulmanInstitute of Technology invites applications for an exceptional opportunity toserve as Student Accessibility Services Director. TheStudent Accessibility Services Director leads the Institute's efforts to ensureequitable access and opportunity for students with disabilities, serving as theprimary subject matter expert on compliance and best practices related to theAmericans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA), Section 504 of theRehabilitation Act, and the Fair Housing Act. The Director oversees permanentand temporary medical accommodations, reviews and evaluates disabilitydocumentation, determines eligibility for reasonable accommodations, andengages directly with students to understand their needs and functionallimitations. This role manages confidential student records in compliance withFERPA, utilizes Maxient to support accommodation workflows and case management,and ensures clear, consistent processes for requesting and implementingaccommodations. In partnership with campus colleagues, the Director providesguidance and consultation to promote accessibility, equity, and institutionalcompliance.

Asa key contributor to Student Affairs leadership, the Director supportsdivisional and Institute priorities through an accessibility and belonginglens. The position serves on the Rose CARES Behavioral Intervention Team,collaborates with campus partners to support student well-being and success,and identifies accessibility-related needs and barriers to inform institutionalplanning and decision-making. The Director also represents the department anddivisional leadership on Institute committees, working groups, and at campusfunctions, helping advance Rose-Hulman's commitment to inclusive excellence.

Qualifiedcandidates must hold a master's degree in social sciences, higher education,special education, or a related field and have five to seven years ofexperience working in an Accessibility or Disability Services setting.Candidates must demonstrate the ability to review and analyze a wide variety ofdisability documentation, including psychometric testing, medical andpsychological evaluations, selfreports, and related materials, in order todetermine eligibility for reasonable postsecondary accommodations. A strongunderstanding of the differences between high school and higher educationaccommodation processes is required, along with knowledge of assistivetechnology, accessibility practices, and disabilityrelated laws. Candidatesmust possess strong counseling and advising skills, be able to communicatecomplex technical information clearly and effectively both verbally and inwriting, and demonstrate excellent analytical, organizational, project management,time management, and computer skills. Active professional engagement throughmembership in the Indiana Association on Higher Education and Disability(Indiana AHEAD) is required.

Preferredcandidates will have eight or more years of experience in Accessibility orDisability Services across special education and/or higher education settings.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from variousbackgrounds.

Salaryrange is 68,000- 88,000. Salary is competitive. A higher salary maybe negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
