NOW HIRING: Infection Control/Wound Registered Nurse RN

Responsibilities:

ยท Collaborate with the facility leadership and medical director to develop, implement, and evaluate the annual infection prevention goals and action plan.

ยท Establish a facility-wide system for the prevention, identification, investigation, and control of infections of residents, staff, and visitors. This will include surveillance designed to identify possible communicable disease or infections before they spread.

ยท Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of on-going staff development programs for all personnel within facility.

ยท Works closely with department heads to assess the on-going learning needs of employees to meet the needs of the residents and the facility.

ยท Assess the unique needs of each patient to determine appropriate treatment plans

ยท Educate patients and families on best practices to promote healing and wellness

ยท Track treatments and patient progress according to HIPAA guidelines

ยท Coordinate with supervising physicians to ensure smooth recovery process

ยท Other duties as assigned by Director of Nursing and Administrator.

Qualifications:

ยท Prior experience managing staff is preferred.

ยท Ability to work independently or part of a group.

ยท Computer knowledge.

ยท Previous long-term care experience required.

ยท Infection Control, wound certification, nursing management experience preferred

License:

ยท Must have an Active Registered Nurse RN license.

ยท Infection Control/Wound certification REQUIRED
