Director Implementation Science information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Director of Implementation Science, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Director of Implementation Science, you need advanced expertise in implementation research, program evaluation, and evidence-based practice, typically supported by a doctoral degree in a related field. Familiarity with data analysis software, project management tools, and frameworks like CFIR or RE-AIM is essential. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills distinguish top performers in this role. These competencies ensure effective translation of research into practice, successful program adoption, and measurable impact on health outcomes.

What are some common challenges faced by a Director of Implementation Science when integrating research findings into healthcare practice?

A Director of Implementation Science often encounters challenges such as bridging the gap between evidence-based research and real-world clinical workflows, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring consistent adoption across diverse teams. Successfully integrating new practices requires strong collaboration with clinicians, administrators, and data analysts, as well as the ability to navigate organizational resistance to change. Additionally, measuring and demonstrating the impact of implementation efforts can be complex, but it is crucial for driving ongoing support and funding.

What is a Director of Implementation Science?

A Director of Implementation Science is a senior leader responsible for overseeing the application of evidence-based practices and research findings into real-world settings, particularly within healthcare, public health, or social services organizations. They design, manage, and evaluate programs to ensure research innovations are effectively and sustainably integrated into practice. This role involves coordinating multidisciplinary teams, securing funding, and measuring the impact of interventions to improve outcomes. Directors of Implementation Science also contribute to the strategic direction of their organizations by promoting best practices and continuous improvement.

What is the difference between Director Implementation Science vs Implementation Scientist?

AspectDirector Implementation ScienceImplementation Scientist

Job description

Description:

Warrant Technologies is seeking curious, driven early-career engineers and computer scientists to join our Professional Services team supporting Siemens Digital Industries Software. As an Implementation Consultant, you become the bridge between cutting-edge engineering tools and the real-world missions they enable—helping customers design, build, and sustain the systems that matter.

You will learn how modern digital engineering works from the inside out: PLM, digital twins, model-based engineering, enterprise data flows, and the software that powers advanced manufacturing. You’ll work side-by-side with senior engineers, architects, and industry experts while gaining hands-on experience configuring and deploying Teamcenter PLM solutions across high-impact programs.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to build deep technical capability, grow into a trusted advisor, and contribute to real engineering transformation across defense, aerospace, and advanced manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

· Translate customer engineering and manufacturing needs into practical PLM solutions that improve how products are designed, built, tested, and sustained.

· Support solution architecture activities—helping design how Teamcenter and related tools integrate into customer workflows.

· Analyze customer goals, processes, and data flows to identify opportunities for efficiency, automation, and improved decision-making.

· Contribute to requirements development, process design, and configuration for moderately complex PLM implementations.

· Assist project managers with scope, schedule, cost, and quality tracking to ensure successful delivery.

· Document system specifications, workflows, and user needs through direct interaction with engineers, managers, and stakeholders.

· Participate in planning, estimating, and scheduling project tasks as part of a collaborative delivery team.

· Develop and execute functional and integration test plans to validate system performance.

Support technical recommendations and contribute to the overall system design of Teamcenter PLM deployments

Requirements:

· BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field.

· Understanding of engineering design, product development, or manufacturing processes.

· Exposure to enterprise systems (PLM, ERP, MES) through coursework, internships, or projects.

· Strong communication skills and comfort interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Self-starter mindset with the ability to learn quickly and take initiative.

· U.S. citizenship (required for future clearance eligibility).

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM tools through internships, labs, or academic projects.

· Familiarity with scripting, data structures, or basic software development concepts.
