Overview
Human Resources Director
Full-Time | Exempt | Onsite - Ontario, California Headquarters
The Human Resources Director is a hands-on, strategic leader responsible for supporting Human Resources operations across assigned hospitals and corporate functions. This role partners with executive and operational leaders to drive workforce planning, talent management, onboarding, employee engagement, performance management, compliance, and organizational effectiveness.
The ideal candidate is a visible, solutions-oriented professional with a proven track record of problem-solving, leadership, and delivering results in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, talent development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead onboarding, employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives.
  • Support recruitment and workforce development strategies across assigned facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, HR policies, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Provide guidance on organizational structure, job evaluation, policy interpretation, and leadership development.
  • Travel throughout the health system as needed to support Human Resources priorities and initiatives.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
1. Bachelors degree required
2. Masters degree preferred
3. 3 Years of related healthcare experience required.
4. Must be familiar with the hospital organization; functions of various departments; current personnel practices and techniques, including review techniques; training methods; and job analysis.
5. Familiar with the labor market, laws, wage and hour regulations, and ERISA guidelines preferred.
6. Knowledge of state and federal wage and hour required.
7. Familiar with Joint Commission and HFAP standards.

Prime Healthcare offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package that provides employees the flexibility to tailor benefits according to their individual needs. Our Total Rewards package includes, but is not limited to, paid time off, a 401K retirement plan, medical, dental, and vision coverage, tuition reimbursement, and many more voluntary benefit options. Benefits may vary based on employment status, i.e. full-time, part-time, per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $119,000.00 to $130,000.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
