Job description

We are looking for a Producer of Digital Services that will be responsible for the production and archiving of all digital promotional of MarComm projects including, but not limited to, feature benefit videos, photo shoots which create print ad and content for promotional videos, along with supporting large scope broadcast spots, print ads and social media content to ensure exceptional creative quality and appropriate shipment of projects by requested deadline and under budget. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Bid/estimate jobs through outside vendors, as well as provide business manager with the appropriate information to establish a Purchase Order while gaining working budget approval from Global Executive Producer and Marketing Leads.

  • Assign jobs to internal resource or outside vendors as required, work closely with them to insure accuracy, and provide instruction on final deliverables.

  • Act as Segment Producer for assigned segments and maintain their budgets, schedules and products.

  • Able to remain calm during stressful situations - a "nothing is impossible" attitude. Taking high stress productions in stride

  • Highly organized, self motivated and accountable

  • Stress-tolerant, quick thinking and extremely detailed.

  • Problem Solver – must always provide solutions.

  • Maintaining usage rights and files with Business/Talent Manager_provide for DAM storage.

  • Attend input meetings to gain full knowledge of requested project(s)

  • Schedule producer-driven projects in workflow system and assign appropriate resources, either internal or/or outside vendors

  • Communicate with Project Managers & assigned resources regarding schedule changes and expectations

  • Communicate with Account Executive team during every step of production

  • Provide Final Cost Summary/Actuals to Executive Producer or assigned producer, Project Managers and Account Executives via workflow system when project is completed.

  • Attend weekly production meetings with the internal resource team to maintain clear direction and ensure projects & budgets are staying on schedule

  • Overseeing, tracking, and executing multiple projects to ensure they are on track to meet deadlines

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay abreast of digital technology advancements with emphasis on video, photo broadcast, and motion graphics technologies

  • Fulfilling various duties and tasks as required by executive Producer, Associate Creative Director, Creative Director and/or VP Creative & Communications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing or Communications

  • Must possess a minimum of 4-5 years of agency production experience with an emphasis on video, broadcast, photography, post audio, color sessions and motion graphics with a strong knowledge of all industry aspects

  • Basic understanding of Garmin’s history, product knowledge and creative direction

  • Strong experience in global travel. Must have passport.

  • Must possess work experience as a Producer to include experience handling budgets

  • Must be detail-oriented and can work proactively and effectively with minimal supervision

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a flexible, fast paced and challenging environment

  • Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others – detailed, but easy going.

  • Excellent time management and follow-up skills

  • Superior organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail and quality

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of production camera systems, camera techniques; framing, color balance, achieving proper exposure and equipment handling

  • Demonstrates a solid understanding of lighting techniques, fixture types and uses

  • Must possess general experience with video editing techniques and software

  • Detail oriented – both in planning and production of projects

  • This job is 30-40% travel within US and Globally.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated skill in electronic audio/visual production

  • Avid or creative cloud experience

  • Basic understanding of project management tools / Jira

  • Highly technical – easy to resolve technical issues or find a way to find the solution.
