Position Summary

The Enterprise Strategy team is responsible for helping steward the development of the company's long-term strategy and associated priorities, connecting each business unit to those priorities, exploring white space opportunities for growth, and connecting the dots across businesses to accelerate existing revenue streams. Our team has a unique opportunity to sit on the cutting edge of CVS Health's future aspirations and enable our future strategy in care delivery.

The Lead Director, Enterprise Strategy will play a pivotal role in supporting new growth initiatives and enabling execution of key strategic priorities. You will closely partner with business stakeholders across CVS Health's Care Delivery businesses, including Primary Care (Oak Street Health, MinuteClinic) and Home Care (Signify Health).

This role requires comfort with ambiguity and the ability to bring clarity to complex, cross-functional strategic challenges. You will lead high-impact strategic and operational initiatives in a fast-paced, evolving environment, managing project-based contributors with a path to formal people management. Ideal candidates are dynamic, creative, and entrepreneurial thinkers who are intellectually curious, adaptable, and passionate about transforming healthcare and improving outcomes.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead high-visibility strategic and operational projects, structuring workplans, driving execution, and delivering executive-level outputs
  • Direct timely, accurate analysis and develop actionable, stakeholder-sensitive recommendations
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to manage strategic portfolios and craft impactful communications for C-Suite and Board stakeholders
  • Steer highly effective executive meetings, adapting in real time to drive decisions and positioning oneself as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders
  • Drive annual strategic planning including leading cross-functional strategic projects executed in partnership with senior leadership and identifying opportunity areas for HCD to grow


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in a dynamic, fast-moving profession; related experience within management consulting, corporate development, financial analysis, product development, mergers and acquisitions, or similar role(s)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills including delivering structured presentations, and crafting PowerPoint and Excel analysis
  • Executive presence including actively listening, empathizing, and communicating effectively
  • Comfort in ambiguity and ability to simplify complex problems
  • Background working in a matrixed environment, aligning stakeholders and navigating competing priorities


Preferred Qualifications

  • Health care experience. Ideally direct employment or significant project advisory with providers or payors
  • Internal strategy or management consulting experience preferred
  • Growth mindset and commitment to deepening expertise across the healthcare industry


Education

  • Bachelor's degree required and or equivalent related work experience
  • MBA preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
