Role Overview: 

The Indiana Destination Development Corporation is seeking a Web and Digital Marketing Specialist to help manage and support IDDC’s digital presence across visitindiana.in.gov and related web platforms. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate, engaging, and search-optimized content while supporting web updates, email marketing, analytics reporting, partner content, advertising implementation, and internal marketing initiatives.

This position is well-suited for someone who is comfortable working across multiple digital tools, managing detailed content workflows, troubleshooting issues, and supporting both internal teams and external partners.

Salary:

The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

A Day in the Life:

The essential functions of this role are as follows: 

  • Manage and maintain IDDC’s web presence on visitindiana.in.gov, in.gov/iddc/ and related digital properties.
  • Create, edit, and maintain webpages, landing pages, blog posts, forms, listings, and other digital content across CMS and CRM platforms, including Simpleview, dotCMS and WordPress.
  • Make basic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript updates to support page layouts, content presentation, embeds, tracking needs, and user experience improvements.
  • Keep website content accurate, up to date, accessible, and aligned with IDDC priorities.
  • Create, edit, and manage photo galleries in Crowdriff and implement them on the website.
  • Troubleshoot website, CMS, CRM, form, listing, and partner portal issues as needed.
  • Support updates to templated page layouts and recurring content structures.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail across public-facing website content.
  • Write and edit content for webpages, blogs, landing pages, partner listings, event listings, and other digital initiatives, typically ranging from 200 to 1,000 words.
  • Review, approve, and maintain location and event listings submitted through partner and CRM systems.
  • Support partner content workflows and help maintain accurate partner-supplied information.
  • Maintain internal and external blogging initiatives, including soliciting guest blog posts from community, tourism, and industry partners.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
 

What You'll Need for Success:

Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or 2 to 4 years of relevant professional experience in website management, digital media, content management, marketing, or a related role.
  • Experience creating, editing, and managing digital content.
  • Experience working in CMS platforms, CRM systems, or similar digital content tools.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for basic website updates and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with AP style.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices and an understanding of how content structure supports search visibility.
  • Experience using analytics or reporting tools to evaluate digital performance.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple content workflows.
  • Comfortable learning new digital tools and adapting to platform-specific workflows.
  • Strong writing, editing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
     
Supervisory Responsibilities/Direct Reports:
This role may be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agency needs.
