Job description

At ALLO, we believe people are our biggest asset. Our team brings the ALLO mission to life because as local members of each community, we live, work, play, and volunteer right here with you. We're passionate about being involved and contributing to the success and progress of each of our GIG Communities.
We pursue these passions because ALLO leaders have created a workplace where folks are valued, ideas are heard, and leaders and teammates show up for each other at work and in life.

Are you business in the frontandthe back? We need detail-driven go-getters to join our competitive team of business professionals. Whether you're setting up new service, solving a problem, or coordinating with a vendor, we expect the business team to build and sustain lasting connections. If your gift for gab doesn't translate on the phone, this probably isn't the GIG for you. On the other hand, if you love building relationships and are looking to expand your career at a growing company that knows daily high-fives are just as important as annual reviews, we want to meet you.
Knowledge and experience are essential, when we peruse your resume, we're most impressed by someone with a customer service background, but character is just as important. We look for those who have a natural instinct for our core values: Honest, Local, Exceptional, and Hassle-Free. Advanced fiber-optic knowledge isn't required, so if going the extra mile doesn't make you sweat, let's talk business together.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Punch that clock then check your inbox.
  • We kick start every day with a get-it-done attitude and daily TEAMS posts to stay organized and focused.
  • Businesses don't rest and neither does our team, if the phones are ringing, we're answering.
  • If you're not in the phone queue, you're probably taking care of customer questions and needs via email.
  • As tier one technical support, we are keen on investigating and troubleshooting service issues for our business customers, so they can get back to business on our fiber network.
  • Our multi-tasking skills are a driving force in making that fiber magic happen as we maintain availability for our customers while working in the background to ensure service orders, scheduling, equipment, and billing details are just right.
  • Flowing and translating between departments and teams keeps us all exceptional. We work closely with all our customer operations teams to give our customers the best possible experience.
  • Check in on our team match ups. We're always watching call volumes, order completions, ticket closures, and all our business stats. If you're on top, the bragging rights are a coveted bonus.
  • Time for a team meeting, we'll go over process changes, market updates, and really hone in on the customer experience.
  • Take some time to prepare for your weekly check-in. When you have your one-on-one with your leadership, you'll be prepared to show off your got-it-done list and your ideas for what to tackle next.
  • Check in with your team to be sure you're finishing the day with no customer issue left unfinished.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year(s) of previous customer service experience, over the phone is a plus.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional communication, verbal and written, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts on the job and work through problems in a logical manner.
  • High organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to be self-directed and the ability to handle confidential information.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Ability to communicate information.
  • Ability to operate a computer.

People are our passion. At ALLO, we don't treat you like a number. You're a human being.

Get ready to plug into the perks at ALLO:

  • Free internet? You bet. Plus, awesome discounts on other ALLO services.

  • Retirement Plan: The fiber future isn't the only one we care about. We match your 401(k) savings up to 5%.

  • Health and Wellness: Participate in quarterly wellness challenges, and we'll deposit extra cash into your checking or health savings accounts.

  • Benefits: Our benefits include medical, vision, and dental with low employee costs. Not to mention generous Earned Time Off (ETO) program.

  • Sponsorships: Are you passionate about a local fundraiser or philanthropy? We strive to give back to what matters most to our communities.
