Job Summary

The Senior Marketing Manager leads all marketing operations with the LSU dining operations.  It is an exceptionally outstanding opportunity to lead and innovate within a dynamic marketing landscape. This position supports multiple accounts across the division, working closely with unit directors, marketing coordinators, and interns to ensure flawless execution of Chartwells’ brand standards. You will drive field marketing strategies and support growth, retention, and innovation efforts, making a tangible impact on our campus communities. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead units in completing marketing promotions, voluntary meal plan campaigns, and catering and retail sales drivers
  • Ensure adherence to Chartwells’ residential, retail, and catering brand standards, including brand identity, visual merchandising, and guest experience platforms
  • Collaborate with campus communities to improve partnerships and support awareness of dining programs, including sustainability, nutritional and dietary awareness, and the residential dining experience Coordinate the execution of events and guest feedback programs
  • Develop marketing collateral and communication pieces, such as brochures, newsletters, programming announcements, and promotional guides
  • Support new business and retention efforts through guest feedback, proposal development, and presentations
  • Contribute to the development and execution of sector marketing and innovation initiatives 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BS degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Culinary, Hospitality, or Hotel Management preferred
  • Minimum of three years of marketing management experience, with a preference for contract foodservice experience
  • Interpersonal skills to influence without direct authority, ensuring high standards and accountability across the field
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of addressing content with various collaborators, from regional support levels to field and front-line associates
  • Diligent with strong writing skills to craft and maintain brand materials and voice
  • Basic understanding of financial components in contract food service, including revenue, margin, costs, and risks
