Role Overview

You will be at the forefront of Storyful's strategy expansion, blending deep expertise delivering social data and insights with strategic brand communications and business development experience. This role will be pivotal in creating new client growth and directly influencing how we deliver data-driven strategies and build our reputation as a strategic partner to brands.

You will use your data and insights expertise and communications strategy experience to expand and grow Storyful's foundational social Intelligence offering that identifies risks and opportunities for leading organizations. This is a senior leadership role, collaborating directly with the SVP/Head of the Practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and target new client opportunities using Storyful data and insights, networking, and strategic outreach to PR and communications decision-makers at leading companies.

  • Brand & Communications Strategy Development: Collaborate with the Storyful Intelligence team to create and implement social data-driven reporting and communications strategies, including positioning, risk mitigation, and thought leadership.

  • Risk & Crisis Management Communications: Participate in advising clients who are navigating risk or crisis by delivering Storyful data and insights to guide their communications strategy.

  • Client Relationship Conversion: Tap into existing client relationships and new client prospecting to serve as a trusted advisor who can combine insights with communications strategy to drive their success.

  • Category Growth Strategy & Execution: Partner with Storyful brand and data analyst team to develop and execute tailored strategies for potential clients and build custom proposals.

  • Strategic Storytelling: Deliver compelling presentations, leveraging Storyful reporting and communications experience to showcase Storyful audience analysis, competitor research, sentiment tracking, market risks, trends, to inform client strategy and campaigns.

  • Reputation Insights: Provide insights into digital and earned media trends and reputational risks to help clients increase visibility and strengthen their market position.

Qualifications

  • Professional Experience: 7-12 years of experience leading a client or team in communications strategy, risk or crisis communications, and research reporting from a top-tier communications, social listening agency, research or consulting firm.

  • Relationship Building & Presentation Skills: Executive presence and expertise synthesizing data and insights into compelling storytelling and shaping pitches and strategies to build trust and new client relationships.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think critically and strategically about client needs and offer innovative solutions tailored to their business objectives.

  • Commercial mindset and new business acumen: Track record of strong relationships that can be leveraged for generating new client growth.

  • Communications Risk and Growth Strategy: Proven experience in using data-driven insights to articulate risks and opportunities for client communications strategy.

  • Passionate Learner: Possess a natural curiosity to stay informed about trends, influence, competitive offerings, and industry developments to inform Storyful growth.
