Job Description

Security Officer - Access Control

Join our team as a Security Officer and play a vital role in ensuring the security of a construction site. As part of our team, you'll perform access control, routine foot patrols, ensure protection of our client's assets, and maintain a secure environment while upholding the standards of Cardinal Point Security Group.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Location: Lancaster, PA

Schedule:

6:30 AM to 6:30 PM

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Be an Ambassador for Cardinal Point Security Group: Be punctual and professional, maintain a sharp appearance in proper uniform, stay engaged and provide consistent, reliable service.
  • Access Control: Scan arriving employees each day, man/monitor entrances and exits
  • Foot Patrol: Perform thorough foot patrols as required by the assignment.
  • Route Schedule: Follow a set patrol route and adhere to the schedule
  • Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or suspicious activity, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of patrols, incidents, and activities.
  • Collaborate with on-site management and emergency services as needed

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of security experience; prior experience in a related field is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED

Background Requirements:

  • Completion of a criminal background check and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
  • No felony or misdemeanor convictions involving moral turpitude.
  • Must be able to pass a mandatory drug screen

Skills:

  • Strong observational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and effective under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to stand post for the entire shift
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking and standing during patrols.
