School Security Officer - $18.00 / hour / Monday to Friday / Glen Mills, PA

Cardinal Point Security Group is hiring a professional School Security Officer for a structured, school-based assignment.


This is not a warehouse, parking lot, or warm-body post. You will work in a professional environment where your judgment, communication, reliability, and de-escalation skills are respected.


Position details:


Pay: $18.00 per hour

Location: Glen Mills, PA

Schedule:

Monday to Friday - 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM

School-year assignment

Occasional after-school or weekend events

Potential crossover assignments during school breaks, based on availability, performance, and business needs

  • Patrol entrances, hallways, common areas, grounds, and safety hot spots
  • Support visitor management and access-control procedures
  • Identify suspicious behavior and report concerns early
  • Use verbal de-escalation during student, parent, and staff conflicts
  • Build professional relationships while maintaining clear boundaries
  • Respond calmly during emergencies and critical incidents
  • Communicate by radio and write clear, factual incident reports
  • Arrive on time, look sharp, stay engaged, and remain consistent

  • Ability to walk up to 10,000 steps and stand for extended periods
