This senior leadership role guides CAPS' technical services across five core areas: Buildings Decarbonization, Zero Waste, Sustainable Food Systems, Transportation, and Water Conservation. The Director manages the strategic integration of technical engineering analysis with practical school operations, supporting paid high school interns and apprentices implementing local climate action plans.

This is a hybrid-remote position based in California (ideally the San Francisco Bay Area) requiring frequent travel (20-30%) to partner school districts. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications * A valid California Driver's License, personal automobile, and proof of automobile insurance are required. * Active professional credentials are required (or must be achieved within 180 days of hire): licensed Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or LEED AP.

* Note: As a classified management position, a state teaching or school administrative credential is not required.
