Job description

Cheil USA/Dallas/Strategy
Group Director, Brand Strategy

About Us
We are Built to Connect.
At Cheil Worldwide, we create connected experiences that move people with work that’s bold enough to stand out, clear enough to be understood, and enduring enough to be remembered. Born from technology and built from one of the world’s largest tech ecosystems, we move with innovation, not after it.

Today, brands exist in a constant stream of interactions, where every moment is an opportunity to connect…or be ignored. That’s why we design connected experiences across online, offline and emerging touchpoints, blending data, insights, creativity, and technology to build what’s next, not just respond to what’s now.

Our approach integrates experiential with data-driven, creatively led marketing, grounded in cultural relevance and built to grow brands.

Cheil USA serves as the lead agency for Samsung. And while Samsung remains a key partner, our work extends across a growing portfolio of globally recognized brands. Powered by a team of 200+ creative problem-solvers, we thrive on pushing boundaries and redefining how brands engage with people.

We are looking for people who chase the Never Been Done Before. Curious thinkers. Driven doers.

We Create Connected experiences that matter.
Strategy at Cheil is for those who believe it's still important to make a stir. To push for strategic thinking that generates excitement, but also causes some noticeable commotion along the way. It's your confidence operating in that safe discomfort that generates breakthrough ideas, and builds modern, resilient brands along the way.
You are provocative. Big thinking. Challenger of assumptions. Unmistakable and irreplicable in a room.
Formulas are your enemy. Dull work makes you ill. You have the courage to interrogate safe thinking and conviction to follow through.
We're looking for a Group Director, Brand Strategy to match our department ambition and help lead the next chapter of growth for one of our largest and most important client relationships. This is an opportunity for a strategic leader who thrives on solving complex business challenges, shaping famous creative work, and building strong partnerships with clients and colleagues alike.

About the opportunity

As Group Director, Brand Strategy, you will lead the development of brand, communications, and consumer strategies that influence business decisions and inspire exceptional creative work. You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior clients, a mentor to strategists, and a collaborative partner to creative, account, media, analytics, and innovation teams.

  • Partner closely with creative leadership to unlock breakthrough ideas grounded in human insight.
  • Develop inspiring briefs that spark innovative and effective creative solutions.
  • Champion work that balances cultural relevance, business impact, and creative ambition.
  • Help teams connect emerging consumer behaviors, technology trends, and cultural shifts to meaningful creative opportunities.
Build and Develop Talent

  • Foster an environment of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Recruit and cultivate diverse strategic talent that strengthens the agency's capabilities.
  • Raise the quality of strategic thinking and output across the organization.
Drive Agency Growth
  • Play a leadership role in new business opportunities, including RFP responses, pitch development, and presentations.
  • Contribute to agency thought leadership through articles, speaking opportunities, workshops, and client-facing initiatives.

What We're Looking For
  • 15+ years of experience in brand strategy, account planning, or communications strategy within leading advertising, marketing, or consulting environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic work for large-scale consumer brands.
  • Experience within technology, consumer electronics, telecommunications, or adjacent categories strongly preferred.
