Job Summary
The Director, Corporate Applications is responsible for leading the performance, stability, and evolution of Alcami's enterprise application landscape, including SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, Blue Mountain RAM and other corporate platforms. This role serves as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, IT leadership, and external partners to ensure systems effectively support operations across Laboratory Services, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance, and Commercial functions.
This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and plays a critical role in executing Alcami's enterprise systems strategy, balancing day-to-day operational excellence with delivery of key technology initiatives.
This leader combines hands-on execution with team leadership, driving both operational performance and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings deep SAP experience, having progressed through the functional track within production or supply chain domains (e.g., PP), along with a strong understanding of adjacent and advanced capabilities such as PP/DS, serialization, and related manufacturing and planning processes. In addition, they bring a broad, working understanding of the end-to-end SAP landscape, including SD, FICO, MM, EWM, as well as technical awareness across ABAP and BTP, enabling them to effectively connect business processes with system design and delivery.
They will also bring strong partner management capability and a proven ability to translate business priorities into scalable system solutions in a regulated, multi-site environment.
On-Site Expectations
  • 100% on-site position.
  • 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the operational performance, stability, and support of corporate applications including SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, and related systems.
  • Translate IT and business priorities into executable delivery plans and drive implementation of approved initiatives across SAP, warehouse operations, manufacturing, and client-facing solutions.
  • Provide program and project leadership for corporate technology initiatives, ensuring strong planning, execution discipline, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
  • Oversee the Development and maintenance of the overall project plan including detailed workstreams for activities such as requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, data migration, integrations, training, change management, and deployment.
  • Manage Application Managed Services (AMS) partners, ensuring prioritization, capacity alignment, quality delivery, and budget control.
  • Oversee third-party development resources to ensure technical enhancements, integrations, and custom developments meet Alcami standards.
  • Establish and maintain structured intake, triage, and prioritization processes for incidents, enhancements, and project requests.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small team of SAP and corporate application subject matter experts.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Quality, and Commercial leaders to align system capabilities with operational priorities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for critical application issues impacting business performance.
  • Ensure adherence to change control processes and validated system requirements while maintaining execution speed.
  • Partner with Master Data teams to improve data governance, process standardization, and reporting reliability.
  • Drive system adoption through training, communication, and continuous process improvement.
  • Maintain application controls, documentation, and procedures to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Support regulatory inspections and client audits in partnership with Quality and Validation teams.
  • Monitor system performance, risks, and issues, and proactively resolve operational challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise applications with strong focus on SAP S/4HANA.
  • 8+ years of people management experience.
  • Experience leading small teams supporting SAP and other corporate systems (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Hands-on SAP experience across key functional areas such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, or Quality.
  • Experience operating in a manufacturing environment, preferably within a regulated industry (pharmaceutical, biotech, or CDMO).
  • SAP certification in Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), or Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA technical components, including ABAP, Business Technology Platform (BTP), and Fiori applications.
  • Experience managing AMS partners and third-party vendors.
  • Proven experience delivering both operational support and system enhancements or projects.
  • PMP certification preferred plus S/4HANA certifications preferred.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and system integration across SAP and non-SAP platforms.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, multi-site environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with a focus on continuous improvement.

Travel Expectations
  • Up to 20-25% travel to company locations as required.

The employee may be required to gain access to manufacturing personnel via general manufacturing areas only for work discussions or follow-up or be required to tour clients through the various facilities. The employee is required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment to perform the job duties. Such personal protective equipment may include, but not limited to safety eyewear, various types of respirators/breathing apparatus, lab coats, full protective body coverings, various types of gloves, etc.
