Key Responsibilities
  • The F&B Director is responsible for reviewing guest feedback, corporate reports, and other information to identify trends and issues that drive guest satisfaction. They oversee special requests, ensure satisfaction and service ratings meet or exceed OBE targets, and collaborate with the Hotel General Manager to formulate and implement short- and long-term service improvement plans.
  • The F&B Director monitors the Ocean Service Excellence tool and ensures all guest issues within their area of responsibility are promptly resolved. They ensure Medallion Class vessels are effectively utilizing all tools at the ships disposal to enhance the guest's vacation experience.
  • The F&B Director drives a service culture that focuses on "guest centricity," ensuring all OCEAN products are constantly and effectively utilized by crew members. They regularly oversee day-to-day operational efficiency and quality assurance for all areas of responsibility, developing controls when standards are not met.
  • The F&B Director maintains clear communication and positive interaction across the Food and Beverage department to provide consistent and efficient service. They ensure all Food and Beverage outlets are organized, staff perform their duties to the best of their ability, and equipment is maintained per Company policies.
  • The F&B Director also directs onboard Food and Beverage revenue managers in promptly adjusting and improving revenue-generating programs in line with Company standards and policies. They review strategies continuously to find new cost efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities in line with operating standards, manning levels, and rotations.
  • The F&B Director knows management team's role descriptions, delivers them to all team members, and communicates clear expectations based on each role description. They promptly complete fair, objective, and accurate performance appraisals based on observed behavior and observe each crewmember's performance using their role description as a guide.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the Hospitality business, at least five (5) in a Senior Management position (F&B Director or equivalent role) leading the Food and Beverage Department (Cruise ship experience is strongly preferred).
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Hospitality Management from a recognized School/University.
  • Demonstrated commanding presence with the ability and commitment to lead in line with all Company values and guest service ethic.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and accurate with strong executive management and organizational skills.
  • Strong and personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality.
  • Fluent English language skills, both verbal and written.
  • Commitment to demonstrate empathy, to display and deliver genuine care to our guests and crew, and to continuously surprise and delight guests.
  • Commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
