Have a high school diploma or equivalent. Possess a valid region/market specific security license as required by local regulations. Be proficient in Microsoft Suite. Understand retail procedures and the criminal civil proceeding process. Have working knowledge of retail security and information systems, and productivity software. Be flexible to work evenings, weekends and public holidays. Responsibilities Build awareness and inspire by performing as a role model and executing the Saks OFF 5TH customer experience. Actively engage in store‐wide communication regarding Asset Protection best practices, training, new‐hire orientation, and safety and shortage meetings. Contribute to the development, implementation, and execution of local shortage strategy and audits as per company standards. Ensure physical security standards are maintained and initiate timely adjustments. Facilitate a selling process through consistent adherence to policies and procedures that safeguard customers, associates, and company assets. Detect, detain shoplifters, and complete related documentation by applying the five stages of arrest. Identify opportunities for improving Asset Protection strategies and present findings to senior leadership using audit data, ensuring store‐wide shortage results meet or exceed standards. Achieve investigative performance targets by identifying and addressing theft exposures; complete accident investigations and general liability claims reports. Perform Asset Protection operational audits and internal self‐audits in sensitive areas, and be available to respond to after‐hours alarm calls and emergency situations. Efficiently complete task‐specific and special projects assigned by store leadership.
