The Puyenpa family of companies are comprised of multiple SBA Certified Native American Tribal 8(a) and multi-certified organizations focused on delivering Information Technology, Management Consulting, and General Construction solutions to the Federal Government along with the Commercial Sector. We are seeking a highly disciplined, professional, and elite Armed Security Guard to safeguard an exclusive, highly protected residential community in Doral, Florida. Located in close proximity to the U.S. Southern Command (SOUTHCOM), this premier community requires an advanced security presence.
In this role, you will work in direct coordination with the U.S. Army Garrison-Miami Department of Emergency Services (DES). Successful candidates must maintain an exceptional level of physical readiness, outstanding marksmanship, and a highly professional demeanor suitable for interacting with military personnel, residents, and high-profile guests.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the Puyenpa team supporting the USSOUTHCOM Garrison. The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Access Control & Patrol: Manage access control points, conduct vigilant patrols (foot and vehicle) of the residential community, and monitor security systems to prevent unauthorized entry or security breaches.
  • DES Collaboration: Work alongside the U.S. Army Garrison's Department of Emergency Services (DES) during daily operations, joint training, and emergency response coordination.
  • Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to security alarms, medical emergencies, and potential threats, implementing established protocols calmly and decisively.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain detailed daily activity logs and write clear, comprehensive incident reports for management and DES review.
  • Professional Representation: Represent the security force and the community with the highest levels of integrity, customer service, and vigilance.
Position Requirements & Qualifications
To be considered for this elite security detail, candidates must meet the following strict criteria:
  • Experience: Minimum of one year of active, verifiable experience as an armed security guard, military police officer, or law enforcement officer.
  • Licensing:
    • Active Florida Class "D" Security Officer License.
    • Active Florida Class "G" Statewide Firearm License.
  • DES Standards Compliance: Candidates must be able to pass and maintain the rigorous standards set by the U.S. Army Garrison's Department of Emergency Services (DES):
    • Physical Fitness Standards: Must pass periodic DES physical fitness and agility assessments (which may include timed runs, push-ups, and sit-ups).
    • Marksmanship Standards: Must successfully qualify and maintain periodic DES-mandated firearms and shooting proficiency standards.
  • Background & Screening:
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.
    • A DoD SECRET security clearance is preferred but not necessary.
    • Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, including criminal history, credit check, and employment verification.
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and consent to random ongoing screenings.
    • Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bilingual in Spanish is highly advantageous).
Physical Demands & Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, and remain alert for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate effectively in outdoor weather conditions typical of South Florida.
  • Physical agility necessary to respond quickly to emergency situations, detain intruders if necessary, and meet ongoing DES fitness qualifications.
