Job Description

We are seeking a technical leader responsible for leading engineering teams building products that make deep learning technologies useful for enterprise customers. The engineering director will recruit and lead teams, both to build foundation capabilities by extending and contributing to open source, and to integrate with enterprise analytics software.

This role is part of a focused team that is incubating artificial intelligence offerings within the product organization.

It involves working closely with an offer management team who work with customers to define market segments and focus areas, product roadmap and requirements, other product development teams within our client and with consulting services who are working with customers to deliver AI solutions including data science, analytic application development, and operations.

This is an Engineering position, which will provide for research and development activities in areas such as enterprise deployment of deep neural networks using TensorFlow, integration with cluster management software with integration to Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop and other analytics products.

Qualifications

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Establish software development team and standards, building on supporting infrastructure

Recruit world class Deep Learning talent

Develop functionality in an agile fashion, with regular releases

Follow a lean startup model of developing MVPs and learning from customer projects

Develop team skills from GPU foundations to application APIs

Build great software that supports enterprise needs

Work with Strategic Product Manager and Marketing to provide technical consulting services for pre-and post-sales teams to include content generation and internal and external presentations

Facilitate cross organizational collaboration of product definitions and designs for development teams to leverage

Research customer needs and requirements with Product Management

Represent technology and solutions to customer and prospects

Facilitate a fun and learning environment which is agile and customer focused Qualifications

Requirements:

MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent discipline. 10 years' experience with emphasis on deep-learning and AI technologies. 4 years' management experience.
