Job description

Reporting to the VP, Product & Underwriting, Asset Protection, the Director of Product is responsible for leading product development initiatives. In this role, you will oversee product development teams, manage their performance, and be accountable for their outcomes. Team resources and utilization will be aligned with organizational guidelines. You will devise strategies to enhance processes, collect key data such as sales metrics and customer feedback, and collaborate with various departments to develop new products and services. Your responsibilities include setting goals, establishing guidelines and timelines, and ensuring the successful execution of the product roadmap. Additionally, you will liaise with key external stakeholders, customers, and industry partners. As Director, you will also be responsible for implementing and updating policies and regulations that support the company's vision, mission, and overall goals.

The Director, Product Development role is based in Protective's Chesterfield, Missouri office and offers a hybrid work schedule. Remote work may be considered for candidates who do not reside within commuting distance of the office.

  • Manage, coach, and develop employees, ensuring they understand their role in achieving the company's vision and goals.

Knowledge, Skills, Attributes:

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in Product, Sales, Operations, and/or Data Analytics
  • Bachelor's degree in business or similar field
  • Experience with regulatory and compliance regulations
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with direct team management and cross-functional influence

Protective's targeted compensation for this position is $115,591k - $140,410k. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective's total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
