Job description

This Regional Director of Marketing and Sales role will work, reside and travel weekly in the Northern Indiana region and an Ohio region.
Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements strategic marketing and sales plans to drive occupancy across assigned Communities
  • Contributes to the creation and management of sales and marketing budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
  • Provides leadership, training, and oversight to community-based marketing directors to ensure consistency and effectiveness in execution
  • Oversees marketing and sales software platforms, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting
  • Ensures compliance with IHDA tax credit marketing guidelines across all applicable Communities
  • Leads weekly marketing calls with Community teams and Gardant support center to drive strategy, performance, and alignment
  • Plans and executes advertising and promotional campaigns across print, digital, electronic, and direct mail channels
  • Recommend pricing strategies to maximize long-term market share and occupancy goals
  • Monitors marketing performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to meet targets, including organizing and supporting marketing initiatives
  • Conducts and evaluates market research to adapt strategies in response to competitive and industry trends
  • Tracks and analyzes competitor offerings, marketing tactics, and occupancy outcomes to maintain a competitive edge
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key industry influencers, referral sources, and strategic partners
  • Guides the development of marketing reports and provide performance insights to executive leadership
  • Ensures consistent brand messaging and visual identity across all marketing materials, platforms, and events
  • Provides input on marketing staff recruitment, training, development, and performance management
  • Represents Gardant Management Solutions at industry events and association meetings to promote brand awareness and partnership opportunities
  • Monitors and manages marketing expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets
  • Supports cross-functional departments by assisting with the creation of technical documents, manuals, and publications as needed
  • Prepares and analyzes sales reports to identify trends, growth opportunities, and areas for improvement in outreach efforts
  • Leads the recruitment, development, and performance management of the marketing team to meet corporate objectives

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and sales, including team leadership and strategic planning
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and be able to frequently travel to Communities and events
  • Strong knowledge of marketing techniques, sales principles, and budget management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Community teams, leadership, and external partners
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
  • Demonstrates initiative, sound judgment, creativity, and a high level of professional ethics
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing marketing and sales teams across multiple locations
