We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join a growing commercial print and packaging operation. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to step into a key role within a fast-paced environment with long-term growth potential and advancement opportunities.

As the company continues to grow, the Estimator will play a critical role in supporting the sales team by managing estimating workflows and helping improve production efficiency.

Job Summary:

The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for commercial print, direct mail, and packaging projects. This position works closely with sales, production, and customer service teams to ensure competitive pricing, efficient job planning, and smooth project execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial print, direct mail, and packaging projects
  • Review customer specifications, artwork, and production requirements
  • Determine material, labor, outside services, finishing, and production costs
  • Work closely with sales and production teams to develop cost-effective solutions
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers regarding pricing and availability
  • Analyze job specifications including paper stocks, bindery, folding cartons, finishing, and shipping requirements
  • Create and maintain estimate records and pricing databases
  • Assist with workflow coordination and job creation processes
  • Manage multiple estimates and deadlines in a fast-paced production environment
  • Support operational growth and process improvements as estimating volume increases

Qualifications:

  • Previous estimating experience within the printing or packaging industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of commercial print, direct mail, and production workflows
  • Folding carton estimating experience is a plus
  • Experience with Heidelberg MIS software or similar estimating systems preferred, but not required
  • Strong math, organizational, and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and customers
