This is a platform-first role with a strong emphasis on external integrations, data flows, and system interoperability. Downstream use cases such as loyalty, offers, and messaging are enabled through this work, but not directly owned by this role.
What You'll Do:

  • Define and scale integration patterns for:

  • Own the API strategy and partner integration model, including:
    • External-facing APIs and data contracts
    • Partner onboarding and scalability
    • Versioning and extensibility
  • Evaluate build vs. buy vs. partner decisions
  • Partner with engineering to design integration architectures that scale across diverse systems

Wallet Data and Event Platform (Enabling Layer)
  • Define event flows and data contracts across:
    • Wallet transactions (provisioning, balance, redemption)
    • Merchant and loyalty system integrations
  • Ensure:
    • Reliable data exchange across partners
    • Clear ownership and traceability
    • Consistent API and event schema design
  • Work directly with engineering on API design, schemas, and system flows

Product Execution and Partner Delivery
  • Translate strategy into clear product requirements and API definitions
  • Support early partner integrations and pilot programs
  • Partner across engineering, platform, and external stakeholders
  • Use partner feedback and system performance data to improve integration quality and scalability

What This Role Is Not
  • Not focused on marketing campaign execution or lifecycle management
  • Not a CRM, CDP, or analytics ownership role
  • Not focused on front-end UX or growth optimization

What you need to have:
  • 7+ years of product management experience with platform or API-driven products or OEM platforms such as Apple or Google Wallet
  • Experience building or scaling partner ecosystems or external integrations
  • Strong experience with APIs, integration patterns, or event-driven systems
  • Experience in payments, wallets, stored value, or transaction-based platforms
  • Ability to work directly with engineers on API design and system flows
  • Strong cross-functional execution experience
  • Familiarity with tokenization or transaction systems
  • Experience evaluating build vs. buy vs. partner decisions

What is very nice to have:
  • Experience working with merchant or loyalty systems
  • Experience scaling early-stage platforms or partner onboarding models
  • Interest in emerging approaches to data orchestration and automation
