Job description

Sales Intern
Company: Digital Alpha Technologies
Location: 100% Remote (United States Only)
Employment Type: Internship
About the Job
Curious about AI? Love talking to people and solving real problems? This internship is for students and early-career hustlers who want to see firsthand how AI is transforming small business finance and get paid on their own results while doing it.
Digital Alpha Platforms builds AI-powered finance solutions for capital markets, private equity, and now small and medium-sized businesses. Our newest offering gives any business its own AI-powered finance department: bookkeeping, reconciliation, reporting, and more. We're looking for Sales Interns to help bring this to small business owners across the country.
No AI or finance background required just genuine curiosity, hustle, and the ability to connect with people. If you've played around with ChatGPT or Claude and think AI could actually help a small business owner save time and money, you already have what it takes to start.
What You'll Do
  • Reach out to small and medium-sized business owners and start conversations about how they run their finance function today.
  • Listen for pain points slow books, messy reconciliations, no real-time visibility and connect the dots to how our platform solves them.
  • Run simple conversations and demos (virtual or in person) that show the value clearly.
  • Close the deal and get the customer signed on.
  • Follow up consistently and keep track of where each prospect stands.
  • Build genuine relationships that turn into referrals, so your own book of business keeps growing.

What We're Looking For
Education
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in business, finance, marketing, communications, or a related field is a plus, but not required.
  • No prior sales certification or license needed to start; we'll coach you on the rest.

Skills & Qualities
  • Genuine curiosity about AI you don't need to be technical, just interested.
  • A sales mindset: self-driven, goal-oriented, and comfortable starting conversations with strangers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Resilient and coachable: you take feedback well and don't get discouraged by a no.
  • Comfortable with basic remote tools (video calls, email, simple CRM/tracking).
  • Bonus: coursework or hands-on experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Bonus: prior sales, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience.

Good to Have
  • Coursework or hands-on experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping.
  • Prior sales, retail, hospitality, or other customer-facing experience.

What You'll Gain
  • Real-world sales experience in one of the fastest-growing spaces in tech: applied AI.
  • Uncapped commissions no ceiling on what you can earn based on what you close.
  • Direct exposure to how an AI-native finance company builds, sells, and delivers product.
  • A flexible schedule that works around your classes or other commitments.
  • A fast path to a full-time role if you show results; this is a performance-based track, not a tenure-based one.
