Editorial Manager, Digital Publishing - Global Publishing Paramount Global
Location: New York or Los Angeles
Reports to: Director, Audio & Digital Publishing
 
Overview
The Editorial Manager, Digital Publishing is a strategic and creative leader. They will identify and lead the development and production of digital publishing. This includes ebooks, vertical comics, and digital-first content. They will work on both existing platforms and new ones. This role manages workflows for editing and production. It supervises content production. It works with other departments. The goal is to deliver digital content that is engaging and easy to find. The Editorial Manager will also play a key role in optimizing content performance through data insights, SEO, and evolving digital best practices.
 
Responsibilities
  • Support licensed partners as well as developing in-house content
  • Develop and execute the digital publishing strategy across web, mobile, and emerging platforms
  • Manage concept development, programming, and editorial direction for digital projects
  • Identify new IP, talent partnerships and content opportunities; Collaborate creatively with studio and development teams on text, art and design creation and review as we extend existing brands into digital formats
  • Oversee digital production pipelines, rights clearances and approvals, editorial calendars, and quality standards
  • Ensure compliance, brand consistency, and platform requirements
  • Evaluate new platforms and emerging technologies
  • Drive SEO, discoverability, and metadata optimization
  • Leverage community and audience engagement strategies
  • Create processes that scale and improve operational efficiency
 
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years' experience in digital publishing, media, or entertainment content preferred
  • Proven success managing digital content, launches, or digital production
  • Robust knowledge of digital distribution platforms and monetization models
  • Demonstrated experience working with creative talent and producers
  • Robust negotiation skills and ability to navigate complex rights/allowances and labor regulations
  • Fundamental knowledge of SEO, content analytics, and audience development strategies
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment, with a willingness to work across time zones
  • Proven experience publishing across CMS platforms
  • Knowledge of platform-specific content
  • Ability to lead and coordinate with design, UX, and product teams for digital storytelling
  • Experience editing both original and licensed/brand-aligned content
  • Attention to continuity, accuracy, and brand/franchise consistency
  • Solid proficiency with InDesign (essential to the production work for ebooks and comics)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of copyright, licensing, and business affairs
  • Knowledge of PhotoShop and Illustrator

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 110,000.00. 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
