How we LEAD:

We are seeking a Manager to work in our Digital Rights Administration team. The ideal candidate will manage assets and claims across key platforms, and action daily requests, across operations teams, labels and global partners. The candidate in this new role will need to develop an understanding of UMG's internal systems to support label needs and requests and help lead design and implementation special projects. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about rights management and maintaining organized records, enjoys learning how systems work, meticulous eyes for written detail and keen ears for music, operational puzzling and troubleshooting, processing claims, and utilizing critical thinking skills to identify potential problems.

How you'll CREATE:

  • Manage and support senior management's emerging markets strategy

    • Manage policy schedules for all content associated with this strategy

    • Process disputed claims on all UGC platforms

    • Escalate appealed claims to legal on all UGC Platforms

  • Manage and support new UGC platform launches and changes in DSP partnerships

  • Review channels and claims made from YouTube channels linked to UMG's network in support of AMEA driven strategies.

  • Manage work related to Reference File and Conflict Resolution operations on key UGC accounts (Reference File Overlaps, Invalid References, Ineligible Content, Asserts, and Ownership Transfer queues).

    • Keep all queues up to date to prevent erroneous loss of fingerprints, availability, rights, and claims due to expiry or incorrect inbound assertions.

    • Proactively identify UMG content in other distributors' reference files and go after exclusions or rights removals to bring UMG content out of conflict.

    • Discover, identify egregious fraud through the RFO queues and report findings to Fraud Preventions team.

    • Pull overlap data from key platforms for Fraud Prevention team on a regular basis to aid their analysis efforts.

  • Support UMG territories and labels with daily requests/issues in relation to UGC partners.

    • Highlight to manager any requests that fall outside of UMG guidelines

    • Report to manager any unexpected outcomes or results in internal or partners' systems

  • Handle exception requests as directed by manager

  • Detect and collate examples of specific issues in partners' rights management systems.

  • Participate in partner meetings to help design solutions, collaborate on organizational tasks and provide feedback
