§ Location: Los Angeles, CA

§ Salary: $375,000 to $415,000 Base Salary (Accompanied by a robust performance-based bonus structure, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) retirement options, commuter benefits, and holistic well-being programs)

§ Schedule: Full-time, Direct-Hire, Minimum 1,850 hours annual billed target.

§ Duties:

The successful incoming attorney will serve as a trusted legal advisor, navigating complex business affairs and contractual arrangements for a premier clientele spanning the creative arts. This role demands exceptional analytical rigor and a nuanced understanding of the modern entertainment ecosystem. Core responsibilities encompass: ⨖ Structuring, drafting, and aggressively negotiating a broad spectrum of sophisticated agreements on behalf of artists, executive producers, and institutional media stakeholders. ⨖ Serving as the primary liaison and strategic counselor to industry representatives, including talent agents, personal managers, and corporate executives, ensuring all legal mechanisms align with overarching commercial objectives. ⨖ Advising on multifaceted transactional matters, including content development, financing, production, and distribution across traditional and emerging digital platforms. ⨖ Identifying and mitigating potential liabilities inherent in media production, intellectual property utilization, and talent engagements.


§ Qualifications:

Candidates must present a distinguished academic background and a demonstrable history of success handling complex entertainment matters. ⨖ Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited academic institution alongside stellar professional credentials. ⨖ Active Bar Membership in good standing within the State of California. ⨖ A minimum of five (5) years of substantive, post-qualification experience specifically focused on entertainment, media, or related transactional law. ⨖ Background spanning either sophisticated law firm practice or relevant in-house corporate counsel roles within the media sector. ⨖ Exceptional drafting capabilities, sharp negotiation acumen, and an inherent ability to thrive as a personable, self-motivated team contributor.


§ Skills:

The following attributes are not strictly mandated but will heavily elevate a candidate's profile for this competitive role: ⨖ Established industry relationships or a portable book of business within the Los Angeles entertainment community. ⨖ Specialized expertise in emerging media formats, digital rights, or union/guild regulations (e.g., SAG-AFTRA, WGA, DGA). ⨖ Proven leadership capabilities with an aptitude for mentoring junior legal staff and spearheading complex, multi-party deal closures.
