Job description

Job Summary

The Anti-Piracy and Production Security Officer is responsible for protecting the company's intellectual property, confidential production assets, and digital content throughout the production lifecycle. This role develops and enforces security protocols to prevent piracy, unauthorized access, data leaks, and content theft while ensuring compliance with industry security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement anti-piracy strategies to protect film, television, and digital media content.
  • Monitor for unauthorized distribution of copyrighted content across websites, social media platforms, streaming services, and peer-to-peer networks.
  • Coordinate content takedown requests with legal teams, internet service providers (ISPs), and digital platforms.
  • Establish and enforce production security policies for pre-production, production, and post-production activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments for production sites, studios, editing facilities, and digital workflows.
  • Protect scripts, footage, screeners, production documents, and confidential information from unauthorized access.
  • Manage physical and digital access controls for production personnel, vendors, and contractors.
  • Investigate security incidents, piracy cases, leaks, and policy violations.
  • Work closely with IT, legal, production, and external security vendors to strengthen content protection measures.
  • Maintain incident reports and recommend corrective actions to reduce future risks.
  • Ensure compliance with industry security standards and studio security requirements.
  • Deliver security awareness and anti-piracy training to production staff and contractors.
  • Support audits related to production security and content protection.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Media Management, Film Production, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in production security, anti-piracy, cybersecurity, investigations, law enforcement, or media security.
  • Knowledge of copyright law, intellectual property protection, and digital rights management (DRM).
  • Familiarity with production workflows in film, television, or streaming environments.
  • Experience with incident investigation and risk assessment.
  • Strong understanding of physical security and digital content protection.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with major studios, broadcasters, or streaming platforms.
  • Knowledge of content security standards such as the Trusted Partner Network (TPN).
  • Certifications such as CPP, PSP, CISSP, CISM, Security+, or equivalent are advantageous.
