Description

We are currently have an opportunity for Program Director, Power Delivery Solutions for a candidate who's local to Washington, DC, Maryland, Virginia, Philadelphia, PA, or Atlantic City, NJ.

Job Duties:

  • The Program Director (PD) will manage the delivery of engineering and professional services on assigned program(s)
  • PD will engage technical teams providing services, review team progress, evaluate team effectiveness and work through the responsible engineering managers and section managers to maximize the outcomes on the program. Focus areas include:
    • Review the scope of the program to ensure it meets contract and technical requirements. Identify ways to deliver additional value to the client and advance the Leidos services.
    • Evaluate the schedule performance of individual projects and the program as a whole. Improve program schedule adherence through oversight and communication.
    • Assess the approach to cost performance, and drive cost saving measures across the program. Utilize standardization, tools, enhanced oversight and all applicable means to reduce the cost of the Leidos services.
    • Continuously assess the quality of the program deliverables. Develop and refine processes and tools to improve quality of services.
    • Evaluate the team’s technical skillsets and provide targeted training and technical skill building to Leidos team members.
  • Collaborate with Section Managers on the delivery of engineering activities. Support the SMs with resource management and assessment. Escalate performance issues, areas for improvement, and opportunities to advance the business. Identify gaps in the approach to service and work to remedy those gaps.
  • Partner with the Project Management Organization (PMO) to optimize the management of the program. Provide issue management and deep dive investigation to supplement the daily project management duties provided by the PM.
  • Develop financial forecasts of the revenue and operating income on the program. Work with the Business Development (BD) manager/Account Manager (AM) on larger client management initiatives.
  • Support the Vice President of Transmission and Substation (VP-T&S) on special projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering with ten (10)+ years of experience in electric utility engineering
  • Functional understanding of principals and practices of electrical, civil, structural and mechanical engineering as applied to power delivery.
  • Advanced understanding of electric power utility industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Excellent team building and coloration skills

Pay Range:Pay Range $131,300.00 - $237,350.00
