About Alvarez & Marsal

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm with over 10,000 entrepreneurial, action- and results-oriented professionals in more than 40 countries. We take a hands-on approach to solving our clients' most complex challenges and helping them reach their full potential. Our culture celebrates independent thinkers and doers who positively impact our clients and shape our industry.

The Team

In today's digital era, organizations rely on technology to operate, innovate, and compete. As the pace of change accelerates, companies are under increasing pressure to modernize how they work, enhance customer and employee experiences, improve operational performance, and build scalable technology capabilities that support long-term growth.

That's where A&M's Digital & Technology Services (DTS) team comes in. We help clients translate business and technology strategy into tangible value by combining commercial understanding, technology expertise, and execution-focused leadership. Our work spans the full transformation lifecycle — from strategy and assessment through implementation and execution — with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes.

A&M's Corporate Performance Improvement practice is seeking experienced consulting professionals to join our DTS team. Successful candidates will bring experience across one or more of the following areas:

  • Digital and technology transformation strategy
  • IT strategy, operating model, and organizational transformation
  • Technology-enabled business transformation
  • ERP and enterprise application strategy, selection, and implementation
  • Data, analytics, AI, and emerging technology strategy
  • Complex technology program and transformation management
  • Distressed or underperforming program assessment and remediation
  • IT M&A, including integration, divestiture, and carve-out planning and execution
  • Technology cost optimization and performance improvement
  • Business and functional requirements development
  • Vendor evaluation, selection, and RFP development and execution

How You Will Contribute

  • Partner with senior client stakeholders to identify critical business and technology challenges and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Assess current-state technology environments, operating models, capabilities, and processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop pragmatic recommendations and implementation roadmaps aligned with clients' strategic and operational priorities.
  • Lead workstreams and complex transformation initiatives from assessment through execution.
  • Structure and oversee analyses, synthesize findings, and translate complex information into clear executive-level recommendations.
  • Manage the development and quality of client deliverables and executive presentations.
  • Manage project teams and day-to-day client relationships to ensure high-quality execution and exceptional client service.
  • Work collaboratively across business and technology functions, helping bridge the gap between strategic objectives and technology execution.
  • Support business development efforts, including identifying client needs, developing proposals, and participating in client presentations.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of A&M's DTS practice through thought leadership, capability development, recruiting, and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree such as an MBA or MIS is a plus.
  • 8 - 15+ years of relevant professional experience in management consulting, technology consulting, business transformation, or a related field.
  • Prior experience with a leading consulting firm is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or supporting complex, technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of how technology enables broader business strategy, operating model, performance improvement, and transformation objectives.
  • Ability to assess complex business and technology challenges, develop structured recommendations, and translate findings into actionable solutions.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities with experience managing multiple workstreams, priorities, and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and communicate effectively with senior executives, business leaders, technology leaders, and project teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing executive-level presentations and communicating complex concepts in a clear, concise, and business-oriented manner.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as client and engagement needs require.
