About American Direct Sales

American Direct Sales is a print service provider dedicated to quality and customer service. ADS partners with digital brands to print and manufacture various custom printed items. Our products include unique, personalized wall art, photo prints and decor, printed gift items, signage, marketing materials, and more. We strive daily to fulfill customer promises and build strong relationships rooted in quality, innovation, and integrity.


Summary of Position:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, entry-level and reliableFinishing Operator to join our fast-paced digital print production team. The ideal candidate will operate and maintain finishing equipment, including a cutter, laminator, die cutter, and UV coater. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that all printed materials are finished to the highest standards and delivered on time. The Finishing Operator reports to the Production Manager and works Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm. The hours may vary based on order volume. Overtime may be mandatory during peak seasons.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate finishing equipment including:
    • Paper cutter for precise trimming
    • Laminator for applying protective finishes
    • Die cutter for custom shapes and cuts
    • UV coater for gloss and matte finishes
  • Review job tickets and specifications to ensure correct finishing procedures
  • Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and accuracy
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of finishing equipment
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report major malfunctions
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
  • Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure seamless workflow
  • Assist in preparing, packing, and labeling orders

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in a print production or manufacturing environment preferred
  • Familiarity with finishing equipment and processes a plus (training available)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and measurements
  • Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work independently

Physical Requirements

  • Physically able to stand, squat, lift, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and/or performing repetitive tasks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
