Torch is seeking a Systems Engineer/Analyst to work on cutting-edge missile defense systems in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position involves leveraging modeling and simulation to model missile defense systems, along with performing data analysis and software evaluations. Responsibilities include analyzing simulation data, running system and component-level simulations, and testing to assess missile defense system performance. You may also examine source code to evaluate software behavior and performance. Proficiency in Python is essential for data analysis. Excellent communication skills are required to effectively present missile defense system performance to the government customer and the missile defense system stakeholder community. Travel will be required to support live fire missile tests. This role offers the opportunity to directly contribute to the success and safety of the warfighter. The position is located at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. As a Systems Engineer/Analyst your duties will include the following, but are not limited to: * Analyze missile defense system behavior to identify potential improvements in tactical software, develop future capabilities/improvements, and assist in the creation of tactical defense designs.
* Analyze massive amounts of missile defense data using statistical analysis techniques to determine and communicate system performance.
* Develop Python-based tools capable of retrieving, manipulating, and visualizing massive amounts of missile defense data.
* Create, maintain, and improve existing Python-based post-processing and analysis tools suite.
* Effectively communicate analysis results to customers and program stakeholders. Job Requirements: * U.S. Citizenship.
* B.S. or B.S.E in Physics, Computer Science, Computer Eng, Mech Eng, Aerospace Eng, Math, or Statistics from an ABET accredited university.
* 0-5 years of applicable systems engineering and analysis experience.
* Using Python and Python-based libraries for data analysis.
* 10-20% travel.
* Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoW security clearance. Candidates with the following experience are preferred: * Experience with IBCS, Patriot, LTAMDS, Sentinel, or other Army defense systems and components (and/or associated digital representations).
* Currently possess a DoD SECRET or higher security clearance.
