About the Digital Engagement, Marketing and Communications Center

The Digital Engagement team is working to transform the digital user experience across our channels.

Position Overview

Digital Engagement team is seeking an intern to help contribute to this work. This internship offers a wide variety of learning experiences to build skills in the digital space, across web, social, email, video, and app communications. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects that explore trends, challenges, and innovations in local government across the United States.

Key Responsibilities

Activities for the Digital Engagement internship may include, but are not limited to:

  • Collaborate with the database team to improve user experience and data flow to support tailored marketing campaigns
  • Conduct digital metric analysis to uncover insights and inform marketing efforts
  • Support special projects, including video scripting and editing
  • Curate and tag video, photo, and resource library content
  • Support special projects, including video scripting and editing, as well as graphic design for digital

Qualifications

  • Current undergraduate or graduate student, or recent graduate in marketing, U/X, technology or information design, communications, journalism, or a related field.
  • Preference to applicants with a background or interest in data workflows and coding, as well as digital communications, including social media, graphic design, branding, and content creation.
  • Experience with web design. SQL or other similar database experience a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a deadline-driven environment.
