Overview

Are you someone looking to take your career in marketing to the next level in a fast-paced, hands-on role that blends digital strategy with content creation? Egan Company is hiring a Digital Content Specialist who will support and execute digital marketing efforts while also actively creating engaging content for web, social platforms, and campaigns. This role is both strategic and highly creative; youll optimize content for search and performance while also being out in the action producing photo, video, and digital assets that bring our brand to life across channels, driving results! If you have strong written and verbal communication skills, experience in one-to-many marketing, and a passion for both analytics-driven marketing and storytelling through content, we want to hear from you. Were looking to add a team member who is creative, detail-oriented, confident in decision-making, and energized by building and distributing content that drives measurable results.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities of the Digital Content Specialist include, but will not be limited to the following:

  • Plan, curate, and develop impactful content for all channels including email campaigns, newsletters, web, blog posts, case studies, advertising, landing pages, social, events, and internal communications. Content may include: copywriting, photos, graphics, video, or similar.
  • Social and digital community management (social platforms, web, blog, website inquiry response, social inquiry response).
  • Work closely with Marketing team and other responsible parties to define, support, write, and produce effective B2B marketing initiatives that may include: marketing and sales support materials, newsletters, social media, blog, website, email/digital campaigns, decks and presentations, public relations, advertising, special events, and other corporate projects.
  • Function as an in-house writer and content expert by educating and influencing others on messaging and objectives.
  • Develop and execute SEO, SEM, and ASO strategies.

  • Draft and execute digital advertising.
  • Create and maintain branded templates.
  • Visit jobsites for promotion or content needs.
  • Develop, generate, and manage reports and analytics to track performance, identify trends, and support organizational goals.
  • Maintenance of mass mailing customer list.
  • Serve on internal committees, as relevant.
  • Serve as marketing communications partner to corporate groups, as assigned.
  • Engage in professional organizations to promote the brand and develop strong business relationships.
  • Maintain brand identity and provide consistent quality control and proofreading for brand standards, grammar, messaging, sentence structure, and presentation conformance.
  • Understand target audiences.
  • Support marketing and communications initiatives that advance the Egan brand.
  • Other tasks as needed for departmental support (may include corporate communication, employee engagement, corporate events, promotions, etc.).
Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Communication, Journalism, or closely related degree encompassing similar coursework is required.
  • At least three years of related work in a marketing or related capacity.
Qualifications
  • Experience with posting to digital mediums (i.e. websites, intranet system, signage, internally, various online portals).
  • Intermediate to Advanced technical skills across Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides, including proven solid verbal communication, writing and editing skills.
  • Photography and/or videography experience.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage and execute multiple projects under competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Basic Business math (i.e.- Add, subtract, multiply, and dividing) to perform standard mathematical calculations.
  • Ability to communicate with other employees sufficiently, both verbally and written.
  • Previous experience in a corporate environment is highly preferred.
  • Previous MarComm agency experience is helpful but not required.
  • Experience or exposure to a construction, engineering, or architectural environment is helpful, though not required.
  • Knowledge of email distribution systems, website content management systems, and Adobe Creative Suite applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus.
  • Strong creativity and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of/with digital mediums (ie. email platforms, Wordpress, social media, SEO/SEM).
  • Knowledge of/with digital community management (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, blogs).
  • Ability to apply Associated Press (AP) style and Egan style guidelines to all content.
  • Proactive approach/self-motivation with strong integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to work independently with a sense of purpose, decisiveness, and urgency.
  • Demonstrated ability/aptitude to anticipate problems and suggest creative solutions.
  • Strong organizational skills, collaborative, and team-oriented.
  • Flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Working Conditions
  • Performance of duties will mostly be in the office and/or at home.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional travel to jobsites may involve climbing ladders, walking on unlevel ground, being exposed to the elements, dirt, dust, and loud noises.

Salary Range: $70,000-$82,500 (subject to such factors as experience, education, and/or skill set) plus potential annual discretionary bonus.
