Overview

The Manager of Digital Communications is an important contributor to the execution of the company's digital strategy across social media, web and e-mail marketing platforms for more than 40 brands. This role will have a focus on sustaining and evolving the needs of the Communications & Branding Department's digital analytics to help drive all aspects of digital communications initiatives forward.

Reporting to and partnering with the Senior Director, Digital Communications, this individual will collaborate closely with colleagues within the digital communications services team as well as the broader Communications & Branding Department and Information Services Department. 

This individual should be a self-driver, curious, highly collaborative and able to manage competing priorities. A keen eye for detail while being able to think bigger picture is also essential for the role.

This position is officed in Mechanicsburg, PA, with a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates daily with digital team to set KPIs, evaluate and enhance digital initiatives.
  • Develops and updates digital marketing performance reports that provide visibility into the effectiveness of all digital communication programs and campaigns.
  • Actively engages in measurement, evaluation and reporting of the effectiveness of all digital communication programs and campaigns.
  • Makes recommendations to optimize ongoing efforts and inform future initiatives.
  • Partners with communications colleagues to share successes and improvements across departments and with business leaders.
  • Contributes to the accuracy/integrity of data through validation and routine data audits.
  • Collaborates to improve established digital strategies across web, social and email.
  • Recommends and establishes digital communication and marketing process improvements.
  • Assists communications colleagues with optimal implementation and usage of various platforms through training, guidance on best practices, and support.
  • Stays abreast of trends, evolving technologies and capabilities and finds ways to apply as appropriate.
  • Acts as a backup for social media activity.
  • Exhibits creative thinking, strong writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Embodies a strong team player mentality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, advertising or related field.
  • Three to five (3-5) plus years of experience in integrated marketing organizations.
  • Experience with content management systems; Sitecore experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of social publishing and marketing automation platforms.
  • Strong experience with data and analytics across web, social and email campaigns.
  • Understanding of SEO, SEM and AEO principles.
  • Experience with project management principles and project management platforms; Workfront experience preferred.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including I.S., Editorial Services, Video Services and Creative Services.
  • Experience working with third-party vendors or agencies.
  • Flexibility, adaptability and agility.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Website analytics and/or Google AdWords certification preferred.
  • Experience building and utilizing business intelligence platforms for reporting and data visualization.
  • Experience using AI and large language model tools to develop effective prompts and support moderately complex drafting, analysis and workflow tasks.
