Position Summary:
In the process of leading a Digital Transformation across our Americas Division as we continue to modernize our technology, focus on our data-driven approach, grow, and plan.
As a result of this expansion, we are seeking experienced Business Analysts in Charlotte (N.C) with 10+ years of experience primarily in financial market data or reference data to support the design and development of a strategic data platform for Capital Markets and Nikko Securities Group.
 
Roles and Responsibilities:
• This role will be part of the Data Strategy team spanning across the Capital Markets and Nikko securities teams, Americas Division’s broker-dealer and swap-dealer entities.
• Business and Data analysis for strategic data projects and enhancements across financial products.
• Lead new projects from inception through go live, managing the project lifecycle across authoring project initiation documents, business requirements documents, status reports, leading front to back UAT across users and developers.
• Collaborate with senior management, delivery leads on the creation of the solution roadmap and providing timely status of deliverables related to roadmap execution.
• Facilitate requirements gathering and design sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
• Facilitate daily/weekly developer scrums, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support agile activities, including user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, product backlog grooming, and identifying key dependencies and risks.
• Document QA test plans and execute test cases. Liaise with business users to create test plans, manage testing, and track defects, enhancements, and questions.
• Participate in general BA work including production support and BAU enhancements of in-house business applications.
• Write user documentation and conduct training sessions on new functionality as needed.
• Assist with production implementation & coordinate user validation across impacted Control Functions

Qualifications and Skills:
• 10+ years of experience in Capital Markets as a Project Manager or Business Analyst with experience in system implementations or equivalent operational experience on central data marts like Security Master or Pricing Master.
• Good understanding of the financial terminology and various securities and asset classes
• Experience with data projects involving concepts and processes related to data management, such as critical data elements, data architecture, data models, data lineage, data quality, data dictionary etc.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members.
• Strong work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines, objectives, and ability to learn new products and systems in a timely manner.
• Experience working directly within Technology.
• Experience with stakeholder management.
• Ability to prioritize efforts across multiple projects and manage competing deadlines with stakeholders.
• Strong skills working with MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS Power Point & SharePoint.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or MBA or Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
