Work Schedule
This is a full-time, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
  • Define and execute the enterprise DevOps roadmap aligned with business priorities
  • Champion CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and cloud-native architectures
  • Present delivery metrics, innovation initiatives, and risk mitigation strategies to executive stakeholders
  • Build and mentor a global DevOps team to scale platform capabilities

Technical Excellence & Innovation
  • Oversee Terraform implementations for multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure)
  • Lead containerization strategies using ECS and EKS with secure, scalable orchestration
  • Drive automation of infrastructure provisioning, deployment pipelines, and monitoring
  • Evaluate and integrate AI-powered tools into DevOps workflows (code generation, automated testing, incident response, predictive analytics)
  • Evaluate and implement emerging tools that improve productivity, resilience, and developer experience

Collaboration & Enablement
  • Partner with application teams, architects, and security to enable high-velocity, compliant delivery
  • Act as trusted advisor to business units, aligning DevOps capabilities with cross-functional needs
  • Guide teams in adopting AI assistants and automation tools to accelerate development cycles
  • Promote experimentation and continuous improvement across engineering practices
  • Ensure operational excellence through advanced observability and proactive incident management

Team Development & Metrics
  • Recruit and develop top talent committed to innovation and operational excellence
  • Foster a culture of ownership, empowerment, and continuous learning
  • Leverage engineering productivity platforms (e.g., LinearB, DX) or custom metrics to track DORA metrics, cycle time, and team efficiency
  • Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks, optimize workflows, and improve organizational agility

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7 or more years in DevOps/Platform Engineering
  • 2 or more years managing engineering teams using Agile methodologies

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 or more years Unix/Linux system administration
  • 3 or more years hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure as Code

Additional Job Standards:
  • Healthcare industry experience
  • Experience implementing and using engineering productivity metrics platforms (LinearB, DX, or similar) or building custom metrics dashboards
  • Experience evaluating or integrating AI tools into software delivery pipelines (e.g., GitHub Copilot, AI-powered testing, AIOps platforms)
