With portable storage containers, customers have the flexibility to choose on-site storage, warehouse storage, local moving, long-distance moving or any combination. Our team of experts is available to help customers from start to finish with the goal of exceeding every customerโ€™s expectations.

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to provide inspired leadership for the operation of one of our local facilities. This role involves making important policy and strategic decisions, as well as developing and implementing operational policies and procedures. The Operations Manager will ensure excellent customer service by properly executing deliveries and service requests as scheduled. Additionally, they will manage daily route scheduling, inventory, customer opportunities, and collections, while ensuring a safe workplace for all facility employees.

Essential functions

  • Supervise and manage daily operations and facility employees
  • Train, communicate, and enforce company and DOT safety procedures
  • Ensure proper maintenance of facility and storage units
  • Provide excellent customer service by executing deliveries and other requests for service
  • Make recommendations for employee actions including hiring, pay, training, and performance reviews and terminations
  • Perform facility opening and closing functions
  • Ensure trucks and forklifts are operable and are being maintained properly and in accordance with company procedures
  • Prepare, evaluate, and balance the employee and delivery schedules
  • Manage customer relationships and resolve customer issues
  • Manage facility inventory and assets
  • Work and manage warehouse and route as needed
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings
  • Successfully manage and collect on past due accounts
  • Develop strategies for better workplace efficiency, safety, and goal achievement
  • Email and phone correspondence
  • Liaise between managers, customers, and employees
  • Monitor spending patterns and budget
  • Assist with marketing initiatives as needed
