Job description

Overview
We're looking for a DevOps Developer who thrives at the intersection of development and operations. In this role, you'll play a critical part in getting software changes from development into production quickly, reliably, and securely.
You'll design and maintain CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot build and deployment issues, and collaborate across teams to ensure smooth, low-risk releases. This is a hands-on role focused on automation, reliability, and continuous improvement of the software delivery lifecycle.
Responsibilities
  • Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable deployments
  • Automate manual processes to reduce errors and improve efficiency
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and environment issues
  • Coordinate and manage software releases across multiple environments
  • Monitor pipelines and processes to identify bottlenecks and improve performance
  • Administer and support DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.)
  • Ensure all changes meet audit, security, and compliance requirements
  • Partner with developers, QA, and operations to drive continuous delivery
  • Document processes and support audit readiness

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or relevant work experience may substitute for formal education)
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in software development, operations, DevOps, configuration/change, or release management
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Git, Jenkins, and Docker
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, Groovy)
  • Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working in Agile environments (Jira, Rally, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently on projects and collaboratively across teams

Preferred:
  • Strong experience with Groovy or Java
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with release tools (e.g., UCD)
  • Unix/Linux experience

  • Monday-Friday, normal hours with possible on-call support as required for release operations and for hot fixes
