Description:

The Business Development Services Project Coordinator provides administrative, sales coordination, research, and operational support to the Director of Business Development Services (DBDS) to help organize and execute SCI's business development activities across Calibration Services, Precision Cleaning Services, Commercial Field Services, and Software Solutions. The role supports the Director in managing projects related to customer opportunities, strategic accounts, CRM activity, meetings, proposals and internal coordination.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, responsive, project focused, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical business environment. This role will regularly interact with SCI leadership, sales personnel, operations and technical teams, customers, prospective customers, partners, and other external stakeholders in support of day-to-day activities.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Sales Support
  • Support the Director with day-to-day execution of business development initiatives and strategic account activities.
  • Assist with identifying, researching, and tracking prospective customers, target accounts, strategic partners, and market opportunities.
  • Conduct market or preliminary research on companies, industries, contracts and potential customer requirements and prepare customer information prior to meetings, calls, conferences, and site visits.
  • Assist with maintaining target account lists and coordinate information needed to support development of proposals, presentations and other materials.
  • Support capture activities and CRM Pipeline Management such as update meeting notes, opportunity stages, estimated values and assigned follow-up actions.
Customer Strategic Account Coordination
  • Assist with coordination of communications involving strategic customers, prospective customers, partners, and key industry contacts.
  • Assist in coordinating information required for RFQs, RFPs, proposals
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, presentations and correspondence.
  • Serve as a coordination point between the Director and SCI's sales, marketing, operations, technical, and leadership teams.
  • Coordinate internal meetings required to evaluate customer requirements, technical capabilities, scheduling considerations, and business opportunities.
  • Support communication and information flow necessary to move opportunities from initial identification through proposal, award, and transition to execution.
Requirements:Education and Experience
  • Associate degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Management, or a related field preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and professional certifications (such as CAPM, PMP, or comparable project management credentials), may be considered in lieu of the preferred degree.
  • Relevant experience includes but not limited to sales or business development supporting management, sales coordination, executive assistance, account management support, project coordination, or a related role required.
  • Experience in a technical service, industrial, defense, maritime, calibration, precision cleaning or other highly-regulated industry environment is strongly preferred.
  • 2+ years' experience working with CRM systems maintaining sales opportunity pipeline and Project Management software is required.
