Job description

Schedule/Hours: Monday - Friday (8:30am - 4:00pm) Full Time
Hourly rate: $26.12 p/h
This position is responsible for:
The Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the organization's fundraising goals through donor cultivation and event coordination, while driving visibility and engagement through strategic marketing and communications efforts. This position combines development operations with marketing execution and provides high-level administrative support to the Development Director. The Development and Coordinator will manage compelling marketing content and campaigns, handle event logistics, prepare reports, and ensure smooth administrative functions within the development department. Assists the Director of Development and ensures the efficient use of team skills to set departmental priorities and media strategies. Supports the timely distribution of all communications. Provides support for public relations and communications functions. Responsible for maintaining and coordinating calendars and schedule varied and complex meetings for the Development Director.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Development Director in developing strategic departmental goals and executing profit-driven fundraising events.
Assists the Development Director in handling inquiries of highly sensitive and confidential nature. Responds to inquiries or directs matters to appropriate individuals for action and follow-up as needed.
Initiate and facilitate follow-up meetings with high-level prospects and donors to yield a solid foundation for long-term partnerships and community presence.
Research compiles, interprets, and summarizes information for various reports, spreadsheets, surveys, and special projects; r to resolve problems and/or correct documented information; informs appropriate parties of outcomes.
Schedules and participates in regular staff meetings with the department to discuss work priorities, practices, and procedures and assists in resolving operational problems.
Provides recommendations to the Development Director to improve/simplify/streamline methods and procedures.
Provides administrative and clerical support to director ensuring that deadlines are met and high-quality standards are Ensure files, calendars, and scheduling are properly maintained to support the administrative workflow of the department .
Coordinate donor cultivation activities, including event planning, implementation strategies, follow-ups, meeting preparation, spreadsheet tracking/analysis and communication support.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
Ability to plan work priorities, evaluate work performances and provide recommendations for improving productivity and efficiency of work.
Maintains a variety of internal and external contacts and work cooperatively with superiors and peers.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for extended periods of time when reading and preparing reports or resolving operational problems.
Ability to make sound decisions and resolve operational problems in the absence of an immediate supervisor.
Ability to effectively and efficiently work on multiple projects at the same time without becoming frustrated or disorganized.
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to accomplish work in compliance with quality standards and deadlines.
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university,
and
2 years of relevant development experience with demonstrated familiarity with donor prospecting, marketing, fundraising, strategic planning and coordinating special events
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
