Job description

Fall Intern- Operations
Bexorg, Inc.
On-Site
About Bexorg
Bexorg is on a mission to move medicine forward by developing technologies that improve and extend human life.
As a fast-growing biotech company, we operate at the intersection of scientific rigor and startup velocity-where strong execution, innovation, collaboration, and accountability are critical to our success.
Our work combines cutting-edge neuroscience, AI, and translational science to accelerate discovery and development for central nervous system (CNS) diseases.
At Bexorg, we value individuals who are proactive, adaptable, intellectually curious, and energized by solving complex problems in a highly collaborative environment.
The Role
Bexorg is seeking a proactive and organized Operations Intern to support daily laboratory and operational activities across our fast-paced R&D environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and creating efficient systems that help teams operate smoothly.
The Operations Intern will play a key role in organizing laboratory inventory systems, implementing RFID-based inventory tracking, maintaining operational workflows, and supporting general lab logistics. This position offers exposure to startup operations, laboratory organization, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration within a cutting-edge biotechnology company.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, reliable, and adaptable individual who is excited to contribute to building scalable operational infrastructure in a growing scientific organization.
What You'll Own
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and maintain inventory management systems, including organizing storage areas and implementing RFID-based asset tracking.
  • Receive, organize, label, and stock incoming packages, laboratory supplies, and operational materials.
  • Support daily operational and laboratory tasks to ensure smooth facility workflows.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and readiness of laboratory and shared workspaces.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks and help maintain accurate inventory records and supply levels.
  • Assist with workspace optimization, storage organization, and operational improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with Operations and R&D teams to support evolving company and laboratory needs.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Operations, Biology, Biotechnology, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable performing hands-on work, including organizing inventory, receiving shipments, and maintaining laboratory spaces.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in laboratory operations, inventory management, logistics, facilities, or administrative support.
  • Familiarity with inventory tracking systems, asset management software, or RFID technology.
  • Experience working in a startup, research, healthcare, biotechnology, or laboratory environment.
Who Thrives at Bexorg
We tend to be most successful with individuals who:
  • Operate with a high level of ownership and accountability
  • Are energized by fast-paced, evolving environments
  • Balance strategic thinking with strong execution
  • Communicate directly, thoughtfully, and collaboratively
  • Are willing to roll up their sleeves and contribute wherever needed
  • Bring curiosity, adaptability, and a solutions-oriented mindset
  • Value scientific rigor, operational excellence, and teamwork
Why This Role Matters
At Bexorg, operational excellence is essential to accelerating scientific discovery. The Operations Intern will help establish and maintain the systems, processes, and infrastructure that enable our research teams to work efficiently and effectively. By supporting inventory management, laboratory organization, and day-to-day operational workflows, this role directly contributes to the productivity and success of our R&D efforts. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact while gaining hands-on experience in the operations of a growing biotechnology company.
Compensation & Benefits
$18-25/hr
Work Environment & Expectations
Bexorg is a collaborative, high-accountability environment where employees are expected to operate with professionalism, urgency, adaptability, and strong follow-through. Team members should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and contributing beyond narrowly defined responsibilities when needed.
Bexorg is a collaborative, fast-paced startup environment where team members are expected to take ownership, adapt quickly, and execute with attention to detail. Successful candidates are proactive, organized, and comfortable navigating evolving priorities. This is an on-site role based in a laboratory and office environment.
