LabCorpis seeking a Clinical Laboratory Team Leaderto join our teamat Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Franklin in Franklin, WI.

Work Schedule:1st shift. 8:00am - 4:30pm with rotating weekends and holiday rotation. Hours may change based on business needs or at the request of management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assistthe supervisor with theday to dayoperations of theDepartment/Lab Namedepartment

  • Send daily,weeklyand monthly productions reports to management

  • Assistwith the training of new hires and the development of current employees

  • Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, employeeperformanceand any significant factors affecting assigned responsibilities

  • Determinethe acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs

  • Monitor,operateand troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

  • Prepare,testand evaluate new reagents or controls

  • Reportaccurateandtimelytest resultsin order todeliver quality patient care

  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

  • Identifyand replenish testing bench supplies as necessary

  • Assistwith processing of specimens when needed

  • Maintain a safe work environment and wearappropriate personalprotective equipment

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology

  • 5yearsor moreof experience as aClinical Laboratory Technician/Technologist generalist (chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, hematology and blood bank)

  • ASCP and/or AMT Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1yearsor moreof experience supervising or leading a core laboratory team

Additional Job Standards:

  • In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirement

  • Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures

  • Proficient with Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communicationskills; both written and verbal

  • High levelof attention to detail with strong organizational skills

  • Comfortability making decisions in a changing environment

  • Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
