Job description

Qualifications • Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields is preferred. • Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data. • Demonstrated ability to partner with other team members in product development programs. • Candidate must be able to work as a team member and also independently on multi-task assignments. • Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred. Responsibilities • Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc. • Assists in maintaining project time-lines. • Provides support for various projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisor. • Employs basic problem solving skill-sets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates. • Collects and organizes data in a coherent format. Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcome. • Expected to train other Technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures. • Ability to perform routine tests and operate application equipment safely and efficiently. • Ability to identify abnormalities in collected data and/or project work. • May take on equipment ownership and responsible for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment. • Intra-departmental submission of presentations and/or reports.
