Job description

Enabling safe and rewarding digital lives for genuine people, everywhere

We make it our mission to ensure more genuine people have digital access to opportunities, and businesses have access to more genuine people. Our technology draws on diverse and reliable data to create a single point of truth for identity and address verification.

With over 30 years of experience behind us our team and technology are focused on enabling safe and rewarding digital lives for everyone. Regardless of age, location or background, genuine people everywhere should be able to digitally prove who they are and where they live.

About the team and role

Customer Growth Team

The Solutions Specialist function has been newly centralized in the U.S. to form a high‑impact team of specialized experts, each aligned to a core solution area. This team plays a critical role in accelerating growth across GBG’s most strategic product lines by bringing deep product and industry expertise into our go‑to‑market efforts.

As a Business Development Director – Solutions Specialist, you’ll act as a catalyst for revenue growth, partnering closely with Sales, Customer Growth, Marketing, and Product teams to drive deeper penetration of our priority solutions within both existing customers and new prospects. By combining commercial acumen with subject‑matter expertise, the team complements the customer‑led sales motion and enables more focused, value‑driven conversations that unlock meaningful growth opportunities.

This is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed, strategically positioned team with strong executive visibility and the mandate to scale impact across the U.S. market.

The Role - Business Development Director - Solutions Specialist

GBG is hiring two Business Development Director – Solutions Specialist roles, each designed as a newly created, individual contributor position reporting to the SVP of Customer Growth:

  • Solutions Specialist – Fraud & Identity Data
  • Solutions Specialist – Know Your Business (KYB)

While aligned to different solution areas, both roles share the same core mission: to accelerate revenue growth by partnering closely with Customer Relationship Managers and New Business Sales teams to identify, shape, and close new opportunities with existing customers and prospects.

These roles serve as solution‑focused growth leaders, bringing deep expertise in GBG’s data‑driven capabilities and the evolving fraud, identity, and regulatory challenges facing customers. The Solutions Specialist acts as a trusted advisor—translating complex solutions into compelling value propositions, uncovering new use cases, and driving adoption across strategic accounts.

The ideal candidate thrives at the intersection of business development, consultative selling, and solution expertise, and is energized by influencing growth without direct people management responsibility.

What you will do

  • Own and accelerate revenue growth across GBG’s Fraud & Identity Data or Know Your Business (KYB) product portfolio for customers and prospects in the U.S., serving as a key growth driver for strategic solutions.
  • Act as a trusted internal and external subject‑matter expert in your solution area, maintaining deep knowledge of industry trends, regulatory drivers, competitive landscape, and GBG offerings to help customers solve complex fraud, identity, and business verification challenges.
  • Partner closely with Sales leadership and account teams to identify, qualify, and convert revenue opportunities, serving as a catalyst for pipeline creation, deal progression, and commercial success.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional go‑to‑market teams throughout the sales cycle, including participating in client meetings, supporting deal strategy and closing activities, providing enablement and coaching, and contributing to marketing initiatives and campaigns.
  • Work in close alignment with Product and Technology teams to ensure customer feedback, market insights, and emerging trends inform the product roadmap, helping GBG maintain differentiation and competitive advantage in the market.

Requirements

Skills we are looking for

  • Proven experience in Solutions Consulting, Pre Sales, Sales Engineering, Product Specialist, or Technical Sales roles
  • Strong domain knowledge in one or more of the following: fraud prevention, identity verification, KYB onboarding, biometrics, or data services
  • Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, commercially compelling value propositions
  • Strategic and analytical mindset, with strengths in problem solving and workflow diagnosis
  • Experience supporting enterprise or strategic sales cycles in partnership with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, with confidence engaging senior and executive stakeholders
  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance considerations related to identity, fraud, KYC/KYB, and data governance
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple parallel opportunities and priorities effectively
  • Collaborative, proactive, and customer centric, with a passion for elevating go to market effectiveness and customer outcomes
