Director Technical Solutions
Leverage unparalleled product knowledge and significant technical expertise in industry to help secure new client opportunities in order to help achieve PCI growth targets. Maximize organic growth potential with D&M clients by providing proposal development support, including pitching complex business proposals and translating sophisticated business principles to key executive and technical customer decision makers. Drive both global business expansion across PCI's network and success in winning high margin business opportunities. Engender business growth with client discussions that require technical assistance and provide more value to the client in facilitating the industry leading experience. Drive efficiency in business development output: increasing win percentage and increasing bid opportunities. Leverage existing contact base in industry to open dialogue for the sales team. Drive the seamless execution of our integrated offerings to ensure the client stays within our network.
Opportunity Development
  • Actively market PCI as the most technically capable and innovative solution provider
  • Identify potential targets, report on results, pursue improvement initiatives to address gaps based on client feedback
  • Lead and facilitate in-person executive level sales/qualification activities to secure wins
  • Represent PCI senior leadership as sterile fill finish champion, oral solid experience a plus
  • Undertake road trips in support of field based business development teams (travel up to 40%)

Technical sales:
  • Orchestrate business development with technical client discussions and qualification activities.
  • Consult with clients to identify potential solutions and optimal product selection. Utilize unparalleled technical and industry knowledge to influence successful client outcomes.
  • Provide training for sales staff including updating technical guide sheets and training on new lines
  • Support Introduction calls to determine feasibility and opportunity
  • Present at conferences and events
  • Technical Roadshows to ensure integrated selling
  • Provide RFI support from clients and sales staff

Proposal Development:
  • Support comprehensive proposal development to assure the right level of delivery & content for client. Ensure a difference maker solution to delight client and secure wins.
  • Increase business efficiency: triage enquiries early and guide Sales team to target appropriate business type
  • Provide review for proposals as needed
  • Know competitive landscape
  • Seamless Development & Manufacturing-Clinical-Commercial execution:
  • Partner with Commercial/Clinical sales-ops, as well as program management, to support business conversion
  • Gather client VOC feedback, report on results, pursue improvement initiatives to address gaps
  • Understand market and trends

Champion Speed Solutions offerings, implementing value pricing:
  • Usher business development engagement in articulating value of innovative solutions for clients. Orchestrate with Estimating to offer market appropriate costing and impactful proposal authoring to ensure effectiveness with innovation led approach to client delivery.
  • Report on business effectiveness, propose improvement initiatives to address gaps
  • Marketing content development

  • Build strategic relationships with components suppliers and devise manufacturers
  • Participate in joint speaking opportunities at various tradeshows or seminars
  • This position may require travel by car and/or airplane up to 50%
  • This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
