Job Description Job Description The Development Associate will be responsible for creating and overseeing the fundraising activities of the organization in partnership with the Executive Director. Responsibilities include providing support to the organization's income generating efforts from individuals, foundations, government agencies, and corporations. The Development Associate's other key duties include community outreach and special events.

Primary Responsibilities · Assist the Executive Director in developing a strategic annual fundraising plan aimed at increasing organizational capacity and ensuring long-term growth and sustainability. · Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward prospective and existing donors; strengthen relationships with corporate and foundation partners; and engage Board of Directors to support these efforts. · Network in the community to create and foster relationships.

· Develop and implement fundraising activities in concert with volunteer committee · Create or coordinate with other staff when producing marketing materials. · Provide reports to the Executive Director, and the Board as requested, that track fundraising progress and effectiveness of campaigns. · Participate in event committee meetings including the preparation of agenda items.

· Manage donor management system (Little Green Light) including consistent and accurate data entry, gift reporting, donor acknowledgment, fundraising reports, membership renewals, etc. ·Provides basic administrative duties such as filing, data entry and maintaining filing system. ·Other duties as assigned.

Special Event s ·Solicit and manage sponsorships, including but not limited to, maintaining solicitation list, creating sponsorship levels, distribution and follow up. ·Plan and implement fundraising events, in conjunction with the volunteer event committee, to engage the community, promote the organization and as source of revenue for the organization. ·Coordinate with outside vendors and partners to ensure event success.

·Work with Education/Administrative Coordinator to promote online events and other opportunities to reach potential donors. Communications · Work with the Education/Admin Coordinator to provide ideas and graphics for social media and the website to ensure content is current and relevant. · Provide event details and promotional graphics to education & admin coordinator to Create events on social media.

Collaborate on posting schedule to promote events and encourage participation. ·Meet with prospective and current donors, and sponsors. ·Complete deliverables with a hands-on approach, draft letters, emails, and other tasks required to assist fundraising efforts.

·Respond to incoming emails promptly and follow-up and follow-through with members, perspective members, sponsors, and donors. Minimum Qualifications · Bachelor Degree preferred with a minimum of 2-4 years of fundraising experience in nonprofit setting. · Self-motivated, self-starter, and dedicated to advancement of the organization.

· Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities. · High level of resourcefulness and creativity. · An interest in environmental conservation highly desired.

Skills and Abilities · Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff, board members, and volunteers. · Strong networking/fundraising skills; experience in donor stewardship desired. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with people.

· Solid organizational abilities, including planning, problem-solving, and great communication skills. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with WordPress, Elementor, Constant Contact, Canva, and Little Green Light or similar software is a plus.

· Ability to work collaboratively and in a team environment with a professional demeanor. This is a full-time salaried position. This job allows for hybrid work.

Candidates must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including some weekends or evenings, as necessary. Must have a valid OH State Driver's License and reliable transportation with current auto insurance are required. This position involves some local travel.

Reimbursement is available for work-related expenses. Benefit offerings include paid time off, paid sick leave, paid holidays, and allowance for branded clothing items. This position will have targeted goals.
