Job description

The Learning & Development Intern supports the design, development, and delivery of training programs that help franchisees, corporate store associates, and corporate team members build the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. This internship provides hands-on experience in instructional design, training coordination, and learning systems while contributing to key Learning & Development initiatives. Working alongside the Learning & Development team, the intern will gain exposure to training program creation, learning technologies, and adult learning practices that support organizational growth and performance.

What You'll Do

  • Assist in developing and updating training materials, including eLearning modules, job aids, presentations, and facilitator guides.
  • Support the creation of training content across multiple formats, including instructor-led training (ILT), webinars, and blended learning experiences.
  • Apply basic instructional design and adult learning principles to assigned projects.
  • Conduct research and gather content from subject matter experts to support training development.
  • Assist with scheduling, logistics, and preparation for virtual and in-person training sessions.
  • Support training delivery by preparing materials, setting up learning environments, and assisting with activities.
  • Help administer training evaluations and collect participant feedback.
  • Assist with uploading, organizing, and maintaining course content within the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Support LMS administration activities such as enrollments, reporting, and data updates.
  • Help troubleshoot basic LMS issues and escalate concerns when needed.
  • Support learning and development projects by tracking tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Maintain documentation, templates, and training records.
  • Contribute ideas to improve training materials, learning experiences, and development processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Interest in learning and development, training, or organizational development.
  • Basic understanding of instructional design concepts or related coursework preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace tools.
  • Experience with multimedia or learning development tools (such as Articulate, Canva, or video editing software) is a plus, but not required.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
