CWD is looking for a Research & Development Assistant to join our exceptionally talented and collaborative team! This posting reflects an existing vacancy within our Niagara Falls location. Reporting to the Research & Development Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to our R&D team, including coordinating vendor communications, managing agreements and inventory, assisting with international travel, and supporting key projects such as product launches and event planning.

This is a full-time permanent role working 40 hours a week on-site. Our hours of operation are 8:15am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate with vendors and suppliers about agreements, business meeting scheduling, and project information.
  • Prepare and coordinate vendor agreements, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Update and maintain vendor databases, vendor folders, and related records using Excel and other tools.
  • Organize vendor and supplier folders and implement organizational systems.
  • Assist with launching accessories and parts (e.g., sourcing pricing, coordinating vendor decisions).
  • Provide administrative support to the R&D team, including preparing agendas and internal and external meeting materials.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of department processes.
  • Coordinate and assist with scheduling, planning, and booking of international business travel.
  • Support planning and logistics for events such as product launches and the annual keynote.
  • Manage sample shipments and inventory.
  • Perform other related administrative duties as required.
Qualifications:
  • Some post-secondary education or a college diploma preferred.
  • 2–3 years of previous experience in an administrative role required; experience in R&D, sourcing, or procurement considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel knowledge (e.g., INDEX, IF statements, VLOOKUP, MATCH, PivotTables).
  • Experience managing a large volume of data with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage vendor relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

What We Offer
Our expected compensation range for this role is $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 annually. The salary you may receive will be determined based on the skills, experience, and qualifications you bring to the position, as well as how they align with the responsibilities and scope of the Research & Development Assistant role. CWD evaluates compensation using a consistent and equitable framework to ensure fair and transparent pay practices across the organization.
