Civil Engineer Intern, EI:
Bentley Group, Inc. is a full service multi-disciplined firm searching for a Certified Engineer Intern to join the team at our office located in Longwood, FL. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Project Coordination
Understanding of general Civil Engineering design principles
Construction Document preparation for competitive construction bidding a Plus
Experience in Site Geometry, Utility Services and/or Main design, Site Grading, Storm Drainage design, Stormwater Management, Stormwater Pollution Prevention design, and/or Local Agency Code Analysis and Implementation in Design a Plus
Preparation of Project Documentation and Reports is a Plus
QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited College/University
0-4 years of experience
EI License Certification
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation, GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads a Plus
Proficiency in Excel
ICPR Experience a Plus
WaterCad Experience a Plus
AutoTurn Experience a Plus

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
• Perform civil site facility analysis and design
• Prepare conceptual designs, final design and construction plans and specifications under the direction and supervision of the Engineer of Record
• Perform engineering calculations in support of civil engineering design
• Function as a staff civil site engineering intern
• Assemble civil engineering construction and permit documents including but not limited to plans and reports
• Preparation of applications and forms for plan approvals and permitting
• Maintain and update civil engineering records and reports
• Perform intern level engineering work in the office and field related to civil engineering and construction projects
• Verify and backcheck all work prior to submittal to the Engineer of Record, project lead, project manager or supervisor
• Provide engineering support during construction
• Coordination with other in-house and out-of-office team members
• Perform related engineering intern duties and responsibilities as assigned
