Development Manager

Location: Nashville, TN (In-Person)
Salary: $80,000 $85,000 + benefits

Purple Unicorn is proud to partner with the Gordon JCC to find a Development Manager who will help drive the future of fundraising and community impact in Nashville.

The Gordon JCC is more than a community center it's a place where people connect, grow, and celebrate together. This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in sustaining and expanding programs that serve families, children, and the broader community.

Working closely with the Executive Director and leadership team, the Development Manager will help lead fundraising strategy, cultivate meaningful donor relationships, and support events and initiatives that strengthen the organization's mission.

This is a great opportunity for a rising development professional looking to grow their fundraising career with mentorship and leadership exposure.

What You'll Do
  • Support and execute the annual fundraising strategy
  • Cultivate and steward donor relationships
  • Assist with major gifts, grants, sponsorships, and annual giving
  • Research and write grant proposals
  • Help plan and execute fundraising events, including the annual gala
  • Maintain donor records and engagement tracking
  • Partner with leadership and board members to strengthen philanthropic support
What We're Looking For
  • 24+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, events, or donor engagement
  • Strong relationship-building and communication skills
